Mrs. Laughing Pants will showcase her art work to the public on May 17, 2008 at One Love Jamaican Restaurant in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The event will kick off with a wine and cheese party with music provided by the Chalwa Reggae Band from Asheville, North Carolina.
This is Mrs. Laughing Pants first art show to the public. Her art work differs from other artists as demonstrated with the use of bright colors and big strokes in her painting. She explores collage as an added medium to her art work. Friends and colleagues compared her art work with that of Van Gogh a Dutch Painter whose style exemplifies both pointillism and expressionism.
Mrs. Laughing Pants said, "Art is an expression of one's creativity that has no form in its conception. Art is a free expression that needs an outlet. True art form takes place without inhibition. One has to give one self that freedom to make art come through freely. A true art will surface by letting go of ego and let creativity take over. By doing so, you'll be surprised what art form take shape." Art is a gift according to Mrs. Laughing Pants. Her body of work exemplifies a more spiritual theme.
