Mrs. Laughing Pants Making Her Debut on the Art Scene With Reggae Music on May 17, 2008

Mrs. Laughing Pants will showcase her art work to the public on May 17, 2008 at One Love Jamaican Restaurant in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The event will kick off with a wine and cheese party with music provided by the Chalwa Reggae Band from Asheville, North Carolina.6

This is Mrs. Laughing Pants first art show to the public. Her art work differs from other artists as demonstrated with the use of bright colors and big strokes in her painting. She explores collage as an added medium to her art work. Friends and colleagues compared her art work with that of Van Gogh a Dutch Painter whose style exemplifies both pointillism and expressionism.

Mrs. Laughing Pants said, "Art is an expression of one's creativity that has no form in its conception. Art is a free expression that needs an outlet. True art form takes place without inhibition. One has to give one self that freedom to make art come through freely. A true art will surface by letting go of ego and let creativity take over. By doing so, you'll be surprised what art form take shape." Art is a gift according to Mrs. Laughing Pants. Her body of work exemplifies a more spiritual theme.

Mrs Laughing Pants Uncensored Secret

Everyone has some kind of secret to spill. Some believe that some secrets should take you to the grave while some agrees that it is good to spill the beam.

Barbara Walters in her book Audition that is number one on Amazon.com spills the beam on her hidden secrets. Talking the truth is uplifting in the sense that you let go of baggages that are no longer serving you. People are humans and nothing is wrong to come clean and say what is on your mind.

I applaud Barbara Walters for coming clean. She brings a new perspective on how you can tell your story in a non-threatening way. A new twist is all it takes to spill the beam on life's story. Anything that is in the dark will come to the light. The trend now is that people are more open to talk truth. What about you? Are you open to talk the truth?

What is a secret? A secret is something you don’t want people to know about you or to find out. Is secret a healthy thing? How many people are living a secret or hiding a secret? Have you ever had a family secret?

Family secret

In my family, mom would say, "Please don’t repeat it, it is a secret." Every family member receives this line before spilling the beam. It's interesting that the family secret spread so quickly. So what is it about secret? Please let me know I am dying to tell.

People invest money on finding the secret way to do things. As soon as the ha ha moment is over then it is on to a new thing. Secret keeps life interesting. Our universe is a secret. No one knows what is beyond the clouds. Some people get vision of another world or have out of body experience. Some people even travel during sleep time.

A secret can take you places. It offers many twist and turns with few clues sometimes. In essence, your life is a secret you're still exploring everyday. There are new twists and turns to discover. So in actuallity, you're living a secret.

Mrs. Laughing Pants Advice To Parents on helping children to stay safe

Children safety is at risk when they talk to strangers on the phone, enter chartroom with strangers on the internet, being bullied at school, view adult content at home, and engage in the illegal use of prescription drugs. Whose responsibility it is to protect children?

Parents, in today's world of sexual predators you have the right to protect your children from these molesters. As a former teacher in the classroom, it is my duty to protect all children. Here are some safety tips to help your children stay safe.

1. Make the importance of safety a top priority with your children. Set aside time for them before and after school. Show you care by communicating with them about their day.

2. School bullying is prevalent. Talk to your children about how to defend themselves from bullies. Some bullies look for children who walk alone and those who are new to the school to bully. Encourage your children to walk in groups and talk to school officials if they are bullied.

3. Make communication with your child's teacher a routine. Check homework and school correspondence to see what is happening in school.

4. Teach your children how to handle phone calls from strangers they don’t know especially when you're not at home. Example: your child can answer the phone in this manner: "Who's calling (pause), my mom is unavailable to take your call right now, but you're welcome to leave you're name and number and she'll return your call." If the person on the other line shows persistence just say I am sorry I've to go now and hang up the phone. If the caller persists by calling your phone, first check your caller ID and don’t answer the phone.

5. Internet usage can get your child in trouble. There are predators who explore children innocence. Subscribe to software that prevents your children from surfing adult sites. Additionally, talk to your children about going into chatroom. Chatroom with strangers is unsafe for your children. Encourage your children to have open conversation and never put themselves at risk to have private conversation with people they don’t know. In essence, teach them to avoid chatroom.

6. Adult content at home should be restricted to only adults. Make sure the channel guard is on if you have adult site. Lock away magazines that have adult content. This can ruin your child's life and other children. If your child find a magazine at home he will show other children. Parents it is your responsibility to be accountable for your action. Think of your children and other children in everything you do. Make safety an issue of importance.

7. Parents talk to your children about the illegal use of prescription drugs. If you're on medications lock them away safely. Check for any sign of drug use and seek help if needed.

8. Have a weekly meeting with your family to connect.  As a teacher in the classroom, my students found this helpful. In fact, one student found this so empowering, he talked his parent into having meetings on Thursday's. It is central to have open conversation with family members. Make this a family affair and you'll reap the reward. Well so long! See you next time and remember keep our children safe.

How to maximize the power within

Enlightenment the pathway to happiness

Sleep diet and exercise are key factors in balancing the body mind and soul. Society is moving towards a more enlightenment way of life. Teachers who have gone before you set the stage for this path. Quieting the mind by controlling your thought process is conquering the power within. Your mind is a soap opera box that has different movie scenes going on all the times. Some of these movies played out in your lives because you tend to focus on these bizarre happenings. Some of these thoughts never happened.

Fear Causes Pain and Loss of Hope

"You are what you think." A perfect example a friend of mine had a fear of loosing her husband this fear played out in her relationship and as a result, she and her husband are divorced. If she did focus more on living in the moment and put fear aside then she would have her husband today. You have to try to control that soap opera box that tends to take over your mind. Make sure movie that comes on in your mind is what you want to focus on and nothing else. When you create the scene of your life as you want it and you act on those scenes by doing the things that will bring you what you want then you’re in control.

Put Your Soap Opera Box On Hold For A Minute

Begin today by creating the scene you want in your mind whether it be a job, vacation, more money, business opportunity, personal development etc. Create the scene by focusing on only what you want. Begin now! And enjoy creating what you really want. You can be even more creative by drawing and writing your dreams. Have fun! Stay tuned for the Peaceful Warrior coming up.

Mrs. Laughing Pants Book Secret

I am a fan of the Junie B. Jones Mystery series. I came across these books recently and I have read most of them. The author Barbara Park captures the essence of child speak in the Junie B. Jones series. Its too bad I did not discover this series earlier on in my teaching career. My past students would surely love these books oh well!

Why I like the Junie B Jones Series?

Junie B. Jones is set for trouble from the very onset. You never know what she is up to until she strikes "That’s right." Friendship is so important to kindergarteners and Sparks highlights that in the June B. series. The words "Bestest of friends," rings a bell for preschoolers. This series depict preschoolers experience with bullyism, behavior tantrum, and everyday school life experience. Hats off to teachers who have to deal with different behaviors in the classroom. Junie B Jones character presents humor in a fun and mysterious way. It brings back so much memories of childhood days especially students in the classroom. It would be fun if children really act like Junie B then there would be really trouble in the classroom.

What is unique about the Junie B Jones series?

This series also brings back memories of my earlier preschool and kindergarten class. Words like "You're not my friend, exactly, special, bestest of friends, I'm not playing with you etc" are from the famous kindergartens I had. Where are they now! Some of them graduated from school while some are still in school. Hats off to Junie B. Jones who brings back so much memories of preschoolers' life. If you want to find out what next on the Junie B. Jones list grab a book now. http://www.randomhouse.com/kids/junieb/books/books.html

Enjoy and keep me posted on the books you like. Talk with you soon.

Up next an interview with a mystery writer. Stay tuned.

Mrs. Laughing Pants and Creativity

Exploring the art in terms of painting is something I find relaxing. Painting is a stress buster and something I would encourage people to do more often. We all have some form of creativity but it is to find it and use it. Creativity takes many forms such as writing, painting, cooking, gardening, decorating, etc. There are so many forms of creativity. Creative forms filled the universe.

Table20of20dreams

A list of questions on how to find and use your creativity

1. Think of something that you like to do and you get excited about it.                                                                                                                            http://www.rubbleshealingart.com

2. What is it you like to do?

3. Are you passionate about this?

4. When you talk about this to others how do you feel?

5. Can you taste, feel, touch, see, and hear this thing?

6. How does it feel when you use all your five senses to this thing?

Begin to create now

Whatever it is you identify that you like to do write it down now. Make a list of how you will go about engaging in your creativity whether it is art, cooking, dancing, decorating etc. You might be at the stage where you might need to enroll in a class. Go ahead and do that now. If you need a mentor, go ahead and find one. If it is something, you need to practice such as playing the piano or learning a new dance movement go ahead and do it now. Everything needs to happen in the now in order for creation to begin. If you make small steps in achieving your goals, it will happen you just need to invest some time into it. Best of luck on your creativity.

Mrs. Laughing Pants Gives Tips on Handling A News Media Interview

Over the weekend, I saw a replay of a media interview with a celebrity and I was amazed on how it was handled. As a result, I came up with these tips.

1. Give the media the questions you would like to answer.

2. Know beforehand what the topic of discussion will be

3. Don’t ever try to dodge a media question because it looks bad on the interviewee.

4. Proper response to handle questions you're unprepared for can be the following:

a) You said….(Repeat what they ask you).

b) Respond to a criticism by saying "I never think about it that way, is there anything else you want to say." Wait for their response and then say thank you graciously.

5. Listen attentively so that you can answer the question appropriately. If you are unsure of the question ask the interviewer to simply repeat the question. It is better to ask for clarification and get an understanding what the question is about than answering the question poorly.

6. Give the media what they are asking. If you are unable to supply the answer just say I will get back to you on that. Give them a time you think you will have the answer.

7. At the end of the interview thank the interviewer.

8. Follow up with a thank you note and how you appreciate their time in interviewing you. This is a time you can suggest a follow up or give them some other topics of interest you would like to discuss. That’s a wrap. Hope you find these tips helpful. please let me know. After all, conducting an interview is not that hard as you think. Best of luck :)

Mrs. Laughing Pants Advice to All Celebrity

Becoming a celebrity is a national privilege especially in the US. A celebrity appears like a god like figure to some. When one becomes a celebrity, all privacy is tapped. Some celebrity takes center stage based on things that are happening in their lives.

The media sometimes focus more on the negative aspect of a celebrity life to broadcast to the public. Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Oprah Winfrey, and others are role model to society. Their committment in helping humanity is to be applauded.

Britney Spears on the other hand, has captured the news media with a down turn of events exposing her personal life. Mark you when some people are under fire from their family and the media they sometimes react in the wrong way especially if their support system is on hold for the moment. As a result, they are more apt to react instead of being responsive if their support system is not in place. This can be a deadly end to an individual pride and self-esteem.

Our society is rather reactive than responsive. The best way to deal with stress and pressure especially coming from the media is to restrain from reacting. Take a break and evaluate the situation clearly by getting all your ducks in a row. Come back with a positive response instead a negative one. By being positive, you're showing responsive behavior in dealing with difficult challenges. People make mistake, they did not fail they learn. Mark this down, every experience there is a learning moment to tap. The media need to stop nit pick on everything and comment more on the positive.

Why not give attention to something positive rather than negative? It is time for change and each of us is responsible for the change. Remember positive attracts positive. Stay tuned for more from your news reporter Mrs. Laughing Pants News Stories.

How To Create A Dream Map

Motivation is the driving force behind people's dreams and aspirations. Creating a dream map will solidify one's dream in bringing it into focus. Emotion and gratitude are essential components of manifesting dreams and aspirations. Christopher Westra (www.IcreateReality.com) is an expert on the use of "Holographic Creation" in manifesting your desires. I find his book "I Create Reality Beyond Visualization helpful in helping me becoming focus on what I want to manifest in my life. So far it is working.

6 Steps to Create a Dream Map

1. Think of what you want to create first before you begin.

2. Get a notebook and look for pictures that represent your dreams.

3. Cut the pictures out of magazines or newspapers and arrange them in your notebook.

4. Give each picture a heading. For example, career, vacation, opportunity, investment, house, community involvement etc.

5. Set goals on the time you want to achieve these things.

6. Go to a new page and label it gratitude. Begin to think of the things you want to acquire and write all the emotions that are related to them. For example, career, the emotion could be thankfulness. You could write I am thankful for my new job that is coming to me. I see myself advancing in my new job. I have a new burst of energy and I am happy and well. Put all your emotions in this exercise and see what happens.

Affirmation helps to set the tone when doing a visualization exercise. Always affirm positive things. Keep in the positive zone by listening to upbeat music and affirm your belief on a daily basis. It is always a good idea to begin your day with a positive affirmation. For example, my favorite one is "I am creating and living my dream. I am in tune with my purpose." Stay tuned for more affirmation.

Sisterhood Meditation

Please find a comfortable position, close your eyes and get ready for a wonderful journey. You're going to begin this meditation by taking three deep breaths and let them out. Let us begin. Take a deep breath in and let it out slowly. As you're doing this just imagine letting go of the tension and worry from your body. Take two more deep breaths in and let them out slowly. What I would like you to do right now is to clench your hands and tighten your shoulders. Slowly release your tense hands and shoulder. Your journey begins now!

Just imagine you're at this big golden gate entrance. The warm morning sun welcomes you on your journey. A butterfly greets you at the entrance and beckons you to enter through the gate. As you open the gate slowly, a happy feeling engulfs you as you step on the cushion grass that greets your feet. It is a summer day. A narrow path leads the way to your journey. On each side of the road, there are daffodils, roses, lavender, and some of your favorite plants. The air is crisp with a strong scent of honey suckle. In the distance, a bright light dances on the river. It is telling you to come. As you journey, you're taking in all the beauty of your surrounding. Everything is quite around you breathing new life and giving you new opportunity to go inward on a higher level.

As you journey to the river, you become more appreciative to your surrounding. You now begin to release all the stress and anxiety from your body. Finally, you reach the river. A bright light dances on the water. Suddenly, a reflection of your face greets you in the water. A fish jumps out of the water to greet you. Now you're calm and peaceful as you listen to the waterfall. The feeling here is uplifting. You're now empowered with new strength and vision to conquer all of life's challenges. You stoop down and scoop some water in your hands. The water feels like silk. It is something you've not experience before. You splash some of the water on your face and hands. You begin to feel relax and have a happy feeling inside. You went towards the waterfall and drink in all its beauty. It is relaxing here. Small dribbles of rain start to fall. It was time to leave this beautiful place.

You look around for one last minute and then you begin your journey home. It was an experience to remember. You find peace within to begin your new day. As you journey towards the golden gate the butterfly came back to wish you good bye. Finally, you reach the gate, and you open it slowly and let yourself out. The bright sunlight greets you wishing you a wonderful day. Begin to come back now as you slowly open your eyes. Have a wonderful day.
